The Pomodoro Technique

The Pomodoro Technique is a time management method that was developed by Francesco Cirillo in the late 1980s. It is a simple yet effective technique that can help you increase productivity and focus by breaking your work into short, manageable intervals called “pomodoros”.

How does it work?

  1. Choose a task you want to complete.
  2. Set a timer for 25 minutes. This is one Pomodoro.
  3. Work on the task for the full 25 minutes without interruption or distractions.
  4. Once the timer goes off, take a short break of 3-5 minutes.
  5. After the break, start another 25-minute Pomodoro and repeat the process.
  6. After every four Pomodoros, take a longer break of 15-30 minutes.

At the end of the day, review your progress and adjust your approach as needed.
