Question styles to avoid during conversation

Some types of questions are not helpful to working towards positive outcomes. This includes:

Destructive questions: “So you’re saying it’s my fault?”

Leading or manipulative questions: “You’ll have that done by tomorrow, right?”

Multiple questions at once: “When will you need it? Or maybe you don’t want it. You can’t get it anywhere else, right?”

These types of questions can undermine your ability to negotiate quickly and effectively.
